Venue

This years venue is once again Gas Green Community Centre, Baker Street Cheltenham, GL51 9HG. It played host to the 2007 and 2008 Grand Tribunals, and has so fr always proven adequate for our needs. We will be here for the whole Tribunal this year rather than moving around from place to place though as in previous years.

Access [Edit]

The venue is wheelchair accessible and suitable, and all other peripheral venues – restaurants, the cafe for Sunday breakfast, etc are wheelchair accessible. if you have any questions regarding mobility issues feel free to contact CJ.

About Cheltenham [Edit]

The convention is occurring in buildings in central Cheltenham, England. Cheltenham is a town in the south west of England, with good road, rail and bus links.

Airports [Edit]

Closest airports are Bristol or Birmingham, with Heathrow a good third choice. Britain has reasonable public transport if booked well in advance. For those coming from the North of England or Scotland or Ireland a flight to Bristol or Cardiff may well be MUCH cheaper than a train.

Climate [Edit]

Cheltenham in August is typically warm, but prepare for wet weather – a rain mac is probably essential. Sad but true, and I note this for our international visitors.

Festivals [Edit]

Cheltenham is perhaps best known for its many Festivals, none of which fortunately clash with our event. Check out the website at http://www.cheltenhamfestivals.co.uk/

Horse Racing [Edit]

Cheltenham is best known perhaps for it's horse racing. The famous Gold Cup is run here in March. Have a look at the website for the racecourse.
